About me

Hi, I'm Bridget, owner and physiotherapist at Learn to Leap Physiotherapy. I completed my Physiotherapy Bachelor degree in South Africa in 2009 and emigrated to Australia in 2015. I have over 10 years experience specifically working with paediatric clients and their families. I have worked in Sydney and Adelaide in private practice with vast experience seeing babies, children and adolescents. My passion lies in early intervention where I can build on skills and work towards goals in a fun and exciting way with children.

I have completed the Australian Physiotherapy Association Paediatric courses, Level 1 and 2. I have completed a course in MAES Therapy overseas and have a background of Pilates.

I am grateful to be a mother of 2 children, aged 6 and 4, who have taught me so much about the variance of development. I love to be active, and you will often find me and my family out for a run or beach walk whenever we can.

Equipment Recommendations

Home and School visit help me to work within the child's everyday environment to create realistic and achievable goals. Developing relationships with parents and key teachers or support staff ensures carry-over and a more holistic approach.

Aquatic based physiotherapy sessions are organised in a location best suited to your child's needs. We set goals together to be sure on what we are hoping to achieve, including strengthening and coordination in a motivating and fun environment.

Equipment needs vary, from shoes, orthotics, play equipment, splints to standing frames, walking frames and seating equipment. I have experience having worked with many children and the NDIS in recommending and report writing when needed.
